Astbury Mere Country Park is owned and run by a local Charitable Trust which raises all of its own funds and needs at least £65,000 annually to keep the park open.

The trust aims to make continual improvements to the country park.  Recently they have refurbished the gent’s toilets and also plan to refurbish the ladies’, which needs additional funds to complete and we hope you will support us to achieve this.

One of AMT’s main sources of income, a pay and display parking machine, was installed in 2018   Every penny raised by the P&D Machine is used for the maintenance of the park.

Since 2018, the trustees have ensured that the parking charges did not increase.  Due to rising costs, they have reluctantly decided to increase the charges with effect from 1st September.  This decision was not taken lightly but it was considered necessary for the trust to be able to continue the programme of maintenance and improvement.  The new charges will be 60 pence for the first two hours and £1.50 for all day parking.

The P&D machine has recently been upgraded and now accepts payment by card or contactless; it is also possible to pay via Paypal.

Regular visitors by car have the option of purchasing an annual parking pass for £40.00 which they can display in the car.  Parking permit applications can be made on line by visiting our website https://astburymerecountrypark.uk/ or by obtaining an application form from the onsite café.
